askTheco Terms and Conditions

September 2026. Govern your access to and use of the askTheco MCP connector.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply whenever you or your organisation access or use the askTheco connector (the “Connector”). Please read them carefully: using the Connector means you’re agreeing to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t access or use the Connector.

These Terms govern your (“you”, “your”, the “Client”) access to and use of the Connector, provided by MMRG Limited, trading as Thecosystems (“we”, “us”, “our”, “MMRG”), a company registered in England and Wales.

These Terms should be read alongside the askTheco Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data passing through the Connector.

1. What the Connector is

The Connector is a Model Context Protocol (“MCP”) connector and associated app that allow an authorised, named user to query askTheco’s therapeutic ecosystem research from within a supported third-party AI platform, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot (each a “Host Platform”), without needing to leave that platform.

Your use of a Host Platform itself is governed by that platform’s own terms of service, which are separate from these Terms. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality or content of any Host Platform.

We have made all reasonable efforts to ensure that the research made available through the Connector is accurate and current; however, there may be inaccuracies, omissions or occasional errors, for which we apologise. We make no representation or warranty that this research is complete or exhaustive for any given disease area, and any decision made in reliance on the Connector’s outputs is your sole responsibility.

2. Access and subscription

Access to the Connector requires an active subscription. We will issue you with credentials to authenticate use of the Connector. You are responsible for keeping these credentials confidential and for any activity that takes place using them.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you believe your credentials have been lost, stolen or misused, so that we can revoke and reissue them.

3. Acceptable use

Please don’t use the Connector for any unlawful purpose. In particular, you agree not to:

  • use the Connector in a way that infringes the rights of any third party;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise access the underlying data or systems behind the Connector, other than through its intended query interface;
  • resell, sublicense or make the Connector or its outputs available to any third party, other than as permitted under clause 4;
  • use automated means to extract or scrape data from the Connector at a scale beyond ordinary querying use; or
  • attempt to circumvent any usage limits, security measures or authentication controls we put in place.

If you are in breach of these Terms or of our Privacy Policy, we may, at our option, suspend or block your access to the Connector and refuse to provide you with any further access to it.

4. Ownership and permitted use of outputs

The Connector, including its software, documentation, underlying research methodology and data structures, is © copyright MMRG Limited and/or its licensors. The disease-area research made available through the Connector is compiled from public domain sources.

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the results returned by the Connector for your own business purposes, for the duration of your subscription. This licence does not extend to republishing, redistributing or reselling Connector outputs as a standalone dataset or product to any third party.

5. Service availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the Connector available and performing reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and may carry out planned maintenance from time to time.

The Connector is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don’t give any warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or any implied warranties arising from the course of performance, dealing or trade usage. We don’t warrant that the Connector or its underlying servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Suspension and discontinuation

We may suspend access to the Connector immediately, without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, or where necessary for security or operational reasons.

We may otherwise enhance, modify or alter the Connector at any time. Where we intend to permanently discontinue the Connector, or a material part of it, we will give you 30 days written notice, save where continuing to provide access would breach the law or create a security risk.

7. Liability

We accept no liability for any indirect, special or consequential damages, including loss of profits, revenue or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Connector or any information obtained through it.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any costs, claims, losses and damages (including legal fees) incurred by us, or awarded against us, arising from your misuse of the Connector or your breach of these Terms.

9. Data protection

Each party will comply with its obligations under applicable data protection law in connection with the Connector. Further detail on how we process data passing through the Connector is set out in the askTheco Privacy Policy.

10. Term and termination

These Terms apply for as long as you hold an active subscription to the Connector. Either party may terminate on 30 days written notice. We may terminate or suspend access immediately if you breach these Terms, or if required to do so by law.

On termination, your access to the Connector will end, and we will handle any remaining data in line with the offboarding provisions in the askTheco Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where we make a material change, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect. If you continue using the Connector after a change takes effect, we’ll treat that as your acceptance of the amended Terms.

12. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found by a competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that part will, so far as possible, be removed from the rest of these Terms, which will continue to apply and be enforceable to the fullest extent the law allows.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
